Trucking With Tookie
The story behind Trucking with Tookie began long before Midnight Mile Radio. It dates back to 2021, when Monica S. O’Neal stepped into the transportation industry by launching her own box truck company, MDJ On Demand Transport. Although that chapter was short-lived, it planted a seed that would eventually lead her back to the road in a much bigger way.
Meet Monica, better known as Tookie: your guide on the open road!
In December 2024, Monica earned her CDL and stepped into an entirely different side of the transportation industry. By 2025, she was taking on the open road on her own, learning firsthand what it meant to live life by the mile.
There were long days behind the wheel, late nights at truck stops, unfamiliar cities, beautiful stretches of highway, difficult moments, unexpected encounters, and countless hours alone with her thoughts. Somewhere along those highways, trucking became more than a career.
The journey: from the highway to the microphone!
The road became a place to think, pray, write, create, build, tell stories, and see life from a different perspective. Monica began capturing pieces of that journey through Trucking with Tookie, sharing not only the realities of trucking, but also the people, places, lessons, and unexpected moments she encountered along the way.
From Trucking with Tookie, another vision began to take shape: (TPL) Tookie’s Phenomenal Logistics. What grew from Monica's experience in transportation developed into a business of its own, allowing her to take what she had learned in the industry and turn it into opportunities to educate, train, and serve others. While the business was growing, something else was happening behind the scenes.
Throughout 2024 and her time on the road, Monica had been writing down thoughts, ideas, reflections, and pieces of her experiences. Those words would eventually become the beginning of another unexpected chapter. In December 2025, Monica became a published author, transforming thoughts that once lived in notebooks and quiet moments into books bearing her name.
The road was no longer producing only miles. It was producing stories. As her creative work continued to expand beyond trucking and logistics, TPL Media emerged as the media and creative extension of the larger TPL vision. It created space for storytelling, original content, music, conversations, and the growing collection of ideas that had been developing along the journey.
Eventually, those roads, businesses, writings, conversations, creative ideas, and late-night thoughts converged into something new: Midnight Mile Radio, powered by TPL Media.
What's Happening Now??
Today, Monica continues to actively operate Tookie’s Phenomenal Logistics, maintaining the business and training side of the TPL brand while simultaneously expanding its creative reach through TPL Media and Midnight Mile Radio. What may appear to be several separate ventures is actually one evolving story.
The journey began in transportation. The road gave birth to Trucking with Tookie. Trucking with Tookie helped shape Tookie’s Phenomenal Logistics.
The quiet miles turned thoughts into books. TPL expanded into media and eventually, all those roads led to Midnight Mile Radio.
